Cascada's Rise to Fame
“Every Time We Touch,” was a worldwide success receiving platinum
status in various countries across the globe. The single was so
great that Cascada released an album with the very same title
afterwards. “Every Time We Touch” the album hit record shelves on

Like the single, “Every Time We Touch” the album was also an
international success. In the
UK
alone, “Every Time We Touch” sold over 400,000 copies. The album
also earned Cascada a trophy at the 2007 World Music Awards.
Cascada took home the award for Best Selling German Act.

At the beginning of 2008, Cascada returned to the world stage with
the release of their second album “Perfect Day.” “What Hurts The
Most” was the album’s first single. Besides new material,
Cascada’s sophomore effort also featured reworks of popular songs such
as Pink’s “Just Like A Pill” and Avril Lavigne’s “Sk8r Boi.” In
addition, “Perfect Day” contained old material from Horler and DJ Manian
when they were a duo by the name of Siria. Due to clearance
issues, the cover songs as well as the Siria material were not released
on the North American edition of “Perfect Day.” As a result, three
entirely new tracks were added to the North American version of Perfect
Day. So far “Perfect Day” has sold over 500, 000 copies worldwide.
Just months after the release of “Perfect Day” talks of a forthcoming
album from Cascada had already surfaced. The rumors were confirmed
on April 10, 2008 when Horler stated on the Cascada blog that the trio
would soon begin to work on their next record. Presently, it is
believed that Coldplay front man Chris Martin as well as R&B singer Mark
Morrison will be contributing on Cascada’s third studio album.
