The story of German Eurodance trio Casacada began on September 23,
1981 in Bonn, Germany
with the birth of lead singer Natalie Horler. Horler credits her
father David, who is a jazz musician, for her passion for music.
Growing up Horler could always be found playing in her father’s home
recording studio.
That love for music would continue to follow Natalie Horler into her
teens. By the time Horler was eighteen, she was working with
various DJs in the German dance scene in hopes of catching a big break.
That is, until she met Manuel “DJ Manian” Reuter and Yan Pfeiffer.
Soon after their initial meeting, the trio of Horler, Reuter, and
Pfeiffer started making music together which ultimately led to the
formation of Cascada.

Cascada managed to land a deal with Andorfine Records. Under
the Andorfine imprint, Cascada made their German debut with the release
of “Miracle.” The single made its way to American shores catching
the interest of record executives at Robbins Entertainment. The
Robbins Entertainment group was so impressed with Cascada that they
signed the trio to a deal. Cascada made their North American debut
through Robbins Entertainment releasing “Miracle” as their first single.
The North American response to “Miracle” was lukewarm to say the least.
“Miracle’s” poor sales prompted Cascada to release their next single
“Every Time We Touch.” Little did they know that the single would change
their lives forever.
